Steps to prevent users to access USB drive using registry

Step 1: Click StartButton->Run and type Regedit


Step 2: Then locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control


Step 3: Right click on the right side of the panel and create a key with the name "StorageDevicePolicies".


Step4: In left side panel, select "StorageDevicePolicies" key, again right click to create new DWORD value then label it "WriteProtect".



Step 5: Set its value to ‘1’. To enable this option set it to ‘0’


Now restart your system for changes to take effect. Now you can see Changes. Try Now
