Clearing Document History automatically using registry


It shows how to remove or clear document history automatically using registry.

Steps to clear Document History using registry

Step 1: Click Start Button and type regedit in run option and press enter


Step 2: Then goto Go to HKey_Current_User \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ User Shell Folders 

Step 3: On the right side of the panel, double click on recent file and change its value to ‘C:\RECYCLED’

Step 4: Then goto RecycleBin in Desktop, right click and select its properties and put tick on "remove files immediately when deleted" under Global tab


 
Restart your system for the changes to take effect
