To change Boot time of Windows XP

Here you can adjust the booting time of the Windows XP if you are using two operating systems.

Steps to change the boot time of windows XP

Step 1: Right click on MyComputer and select its Properties

Step 2: Select Advanced Tab button, then click Settings button under the Startup and Recovery box

 Step 3: Finally change the time in seconds from 0 to 999 seconds.

Restrict user's to access shutdown button

It restrict user's ability to shutdown their computer. You can hide shutdown button from the startmenu using Registry

Steps to hide shutdown button.

Step 1: Click Startbutton and type regedit and continue.

 

Step 2: Then locate the location: “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion \Policies\Explorer”

Step 3: Right click on the right side panel and create a new DWORD value with name NoClose

 

Step 4: Now assign 1 to its value databox.

Step 5: Now restart you system for the changes to take place.
